A word from Christa
During a visit to Berlin in June 1999, Stefan approached me with the idea of creating a web site about my life in Africa. Of course, all of the e-mails which I had written were originally intended only for my close friends and family members. Therefore, I did not censor what was influencing me, how I was feeling, or what I was experiencing at that moment in time. All statements in the following reports should be seen as personal perceptions and not as an evaluation of any cultural differences.
